4. Limitation of Liability
CP Candle Delights is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or damages caused by the misuse, improper handling, or consumption of our products. By purchasing our candles, you agree to follow all usage and safety instructions.
Here are essential safety guidelines for using candles safely:
1. Burn Within Sight
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always extinguish it when leaving a room or going to sleep.
2. Keep Away from Flammable Objects
Ensure candles are placed at least 12 inches away from anything that can catch fire, like curtains, furniture, books, or decorations.
3. Place on a Stable, Heat-Resistant Surface
Use a heat-resistant holder or surface to prevent heat damage and spills. Make sure the surface is sturdy to avoid tipping over.
4. Keep Away from Drafts and Vents
Avoid burning candles in areas with strong air currents (like open windows, fans, or vents), as this can cause uneven burning or excessive dripping.
5. Trim the Wick
Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch before each use. This helps the candle burn evenly and prevents high flames or smoke.
6. Burn for Limited Time
Avoid burning candles for more than 4 hours at a time. Allow the candle to cool before relighting.
7. Keep Out of Reach of Children and Pets
Ensure candles are placed where children and pets cannot reach or accidentally knock them over.
8. Extinguish Properly
Use a snuffer to extinguish candles, as blowing them out can cause wax to splatter. Ensure the wick is no longer glowing before leaving the area.
9. Don’t Burn the Candle All the Way Down
Stop using a candle when about 1/2 inch of wax remains to prevent overheating of the container.
10. Avoid Moving a Burning Candle
Never move or carry a candle while it's lit. Let it cool completely before handling.
11. Follow Container Candle Instructions
If using container candles, ensure the container is not cracked or damaged. Burning a candle in a damaged container can cause breakage and fire hazards.
By following these guidelines, you can enjoy your candles safely and reduce the risk of accidents or injuries.
